ANCHORED HOPE RI began in 2017 with a small group of ladies who were interested in street evangelism and passionate about serving hurting people in our community. We gathered together to learn more about sharing the love of Jesus and then decided to put what we learned into action by creating outreach events in our local cities. We brought food, clothing and personal items out on the streets and gave them to those in need. We made it a point to pray and love on people we came in contact with. Many people were coming to God and getting saved through these outreach events. We were also seeing people healed.
On January 31, 2022 we officially became a 501c(3) nonprofit organization in the state of Rhode Island and we continue the work that we started.
Once a month we serve 100 or more people in our communities with each outreach. Over the past 2 years Anchored Hope has handed out countless boxes of clothing, winter jackets, hats, gloves, blankets, and toiletries. We have served about 2,000 meals to the homeless men, women, and children in Rhode Island.
We are willing to go to any community. Our outreach events have been set up in Kennedy Plaza, inside the Cranston Street Armory, and the Woonsocket area.
Next, we plan to partner with a well-known nonprofit organization called Loaves and Fishes so that we can serve many more!
